110 Gallon Severe Series Refueling Tank | DOT Approved Built for Commercial, State, and Industrial Applications

The Severe Series Refueling Tanks from ATI are engineered for extreme conditions and heavy-duty use. Built to withstand off-road environments and larger fuel pumps, these tanks are ideal for operators who demand durability and performance in the toughest applications. These refueling tanks are designed for commercial, state, and industrial applications, holding and dispensing fuels safely and legally.

Constructed from 50% thicker, heavy-duty .190" aluminum, the Severe Series Refueling Tanks feature a unique internal pump bung support for added stability and strength. Each tank is equipped with:

  • Lockable Spin Secure Cap, the highest-grade cap in the industry
  • Fully welded baffles to reduce fuel slosh and strengthen the tank
  • Vent with rollover protection for enhanced safety and functionality
  • Two 2" bungs with internal support, allowing the pump to be mounted on either side
  • DOT Special Permit, enabling transportation with the pump still attached

Designed for gasoline, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel, and methanol, Severe Series tanks are built to perform under severe conditions. They come with a 5-year warranty and meet the highest standards for safety, reliability, and legal compliance in commerce.

Special Permit, DOT approved Aluminum Tank Industries

Aluminum Tank Industries, Inc. (ATI) has been granted a special permit from the U.S. Department of Transportation for its aluminum refueling tanks.

This permit allows you to refuel equipment, machinery, or vehicles without removing the fuel tank from your vehicle. ATI is authorized to manufacture, mark, and sell refueling tanks that safely store and dispense gasoline, diesel, methanol, aviation fuel, and kerosene in capacities up to 119 US gallons.

Most "transfer tanks" on the market are designed only for transporting non-flammable liquids. ATI’s refueling tanks are specifically designed and DOT-approved for both transport and on-vehicle refueling of flammable fuels. The special permit ensures that these tanks meet stringent federal safety standards, making them legal for private, commercial, and state use.

Navigating fuel regulations can be confusing. The DOT allows companies to build transfer tanks for diesel or other non-flammable liquids, but manufacturers must comply with detailed design specifications. Normally, the DOT does not verify compliance unless there is an incident, meaning many tanks are only legally suitable for limited private use.
